BEAUTIFICATION
2012
The goal of the Board is to "Maintain" this year. With the economy the
way it is, just making sure everything stays as beautiful as it is, will be the
plan. All improvement projects are on hold.
Now, that's not to say we won't be taking care of things. There have been plans to fix some of the sidewalks that are crumbling. In fact, 3.2012 there were several sidewalks corrected. More maintenance plans will be carried out this year but we will hold the line at adding anything new.
2011
Speed bumps - lots of speed bumps were added. Let's slow those fast drivers down so that no children or other drivers are hit. In fact, as a result of the speed bumps we won't have to worry about folks driving into the ponds, either! Way to go!
2010
The HOA Board has done a tremendous job of upgrading the property in the past couple of years. New lights have been added, lots of trees and bushes are new to the property, and white benches and picnic tables adorn the neighborhood. Bayswater even has a new fountain!
With the economy and jobs being a prime concern, the Board plans to be fiscally responsible and only has plans to spend money on a dock for fishing and some speed bumps to slow the buses and traffic down.
The other main interest and concern is for crime. The Board wants to keep that at bay - and asks for your help. Call the police - 911 on ANY SUSPICIOUS activity. We will have a sign out front that you can call if we hear of anything. It will only remain up for a day or two, but call the number on it.
2009
Another year, another few projects to complete. The board put in a new fountain this year and has hopes of putting in a fishing deck, as well.
If you have noticed, there are
some beautiful flowers out front, thanks to board member, Terry Thompson.
She has been the guiding force who continues to look for projects to improve the
neighborhood.
Lastly, mailbox posts will be repainted black. The board asks that those folks who have mailbox posts that need to be fixed, to call the management company for a contact number to repair their posts. That repair cost must be covered by the homeowner but the actual painting will be covered by the Association.

BEAUTIFICATION PROJECT IS ALIVE AND GROWING
(pictures below)
Bayswater takes steps to beautify the neighborhood! While starting out with an impressive cluster of trees which flanked the ponds, it was soon discovered from IPL that these trees had to be removed from under the power lines! But Bayswater is pleased to announce that all the river birches have been relocated to the medians along Bayswater Blvd.
The crab apple trees at the first pond on the left were exchanged for “IPL Approved” crab apples and river birches were replaced with shrubs. Once the new trees and shrubs get established, they will be heavy with blossoms each spring!
With the help of Bridgefield Lakes Condos, the flowers at the front entrance are looking beautiful. There’s a beautiful big splash of color when entering the neighborhood and it looks very welcoming.
There have been flower seeds planted around the ponds, and with Mother Nature’s help, these will sprout and create a big splash of color. There is also an effort being taken to look into “naturalizing” the ponds so they will attract wild life and not look so scalped.
Hope you all have noticed the new benches in the common areas! Bright, white, and new. More white benches have been added around the two open ponds on either side of Bayswater Blvd.
Next year, Bayswater is hoping to install some perennial flower beds that will come back year after year. How about joining in and having some fun by creating flower beds with donated plants from our neighbor’s gardens! Personal pride by giving back. . .
If anyone has any suggestions of things we could do to make our space beautiful, let the Board know. They are always open for your input!
